"jdrgoat - Ponticrack?" (jdrgoat)

I don’t think there were any 0-60 times on YouTube with a second gen Colorado yet, so I finally got around to trying to fix that. “Trying” because I didn’t have a good view of the gauges. So I tapped the limiter in first for a bit, and ended up only making it to 59mph. Noob.
Anyways, it’s certainly faster than the Duramax 0-60 that I recently saw. Here it is in its full glory.
Does anyone else like watching these videos on YouTube?

That’s a lot of noise for not a lot of go

Seems more than fine for a work vehicle. With better shifting you could even do that a bit quicker.

Haha, agreed. Bit at the same time, I’m getting accustomed to this as my “normal fast” and having fun with WOT a lot more than I otherwise would. It will be a riot to get back into my GTO.

My thoughts exactly! I’ll have to follow through on making a better video soon.
The bright side is, it’s just slow enough for me to enjoy learning to really launch it without getting into trouble too fast.

I think if you improve on the shifting, you can get that 0-60 time below 10 seconds.
You should take it to the drag strip and see how it does in the 1/4 mile.

You officially made me curious enough to do a frame-by-frame count to see what the 0-60(ish) actually was. My count puts it at just about 8 seconds exactly. That’s a little better than I was expecting it to be. (30fps, ~234-248 frames depending on where I actually started moving, 7.8-8.3 seconds.)
The drag strip would be ... sort of fun. I think it’s slow enough that I would actually get bored. I might do a run with Torque and consider that good enough. I actually think it’s pretty fun to autox this thing, though.

That’s slow, but it doesn’t seem that bad. 0-60 mph in about 8 seconds for a truck. What did you expect?
What year and engine Colorado?

I expected slow, so all things considered I’m very happy with 8 seconds. (It will make my GTO feel like a rocket ship when I get back behind the wheel.)
It’s a 2015, 2.5L 4cyl, 2wd, 6 speed manual. 200hp and 4000lb.

Yea, that’s actually pretty good considering the facts. I’d like to see what you can get on the 1/4. I imagine due to the gearing, it will be a little more sluggish at quicker speeds, but could see less than 17 sec.

The speed limiter is hit in 3rd gear, and I haven’t even gotten it there yet... I get bored (and my sense kicks in, I’ve been close) before it gets there. 3rd would be fantastic with double the horsepower.
First calculator on google looks reliable. But ... that 82mph trap speed makes me sad! I think I’m making a little more hp with 89 octane (it runs smoother), but that fits my 0-60 well anyways.
